Funny Misheard Lyrics on Pearl Jam's Yellow Ledbetter
On Youtube, Misheardlyricsguy has posted a very funny photo illustration of Pearl Jam's song Yellow Ledbetter. The original song was written by singer Eddie Vedder along with Jeff Ament and Mike McCready as is supposed to be referring to one of Vedder's old friends from Chicago.Because of Vedder's less than crystal clear enunciation, however, this gives room for mishearing the lyrics and an ensuing parody. The Pearl Jam parody takes the viewer on quite a photography journey with references to the Democrats, Anna Nicole Smith and my particular favorite, Mr. Potato Head.
What's bizarre, though, if you haven't read the Yellow Ledbetter lyrics before, the parodied version looks and sounds to be every bit as legitimate as the original words. It is certainly worth spending five minutes watching and listening to this very funny Pearl Jam parody.
