Lyrics on iPhones as Apple Seeks Patents
Apple's been bobbing for patent applications this week and that has caused all sorts of speculation as to what this could mean for the iPhone. Looks like the big PC-buster is looking for a method to display music lyrics on their iPhones and iPods in conjunction with songs that their clients download.Gracenote has been implicated in this rumor as the supplier of lyrics. Earlier this year Gracenote teamed up with Yahoo Music to supply lyrics for over 400,000 songs in their database. If this music lyrics plan does come to fruition, who will be a big enough player to take a bite out of Apple?
