The Day the Music Died
I'm not going to get all Don McLean on you and pretend I'm on a cruise ship singing drunken phrases of "American Pie," but to some who listen to music and radio on the Internet, this is indeed the day the music died. Many Internet radio stations are observing a day of silence in protest over higher rates that the Copyright Royalty Board has imposed. Smaller Internet radio stations are most affected with some paying as much as 300-percent more.
So, instead of singing the lyrics to your favorite songs today while at your computer, simply hum in protest over the Day the Music Died in Internet Radio.
